Fog & Fact is an automated public-source monitoring and reporting project. It collects material from public sources, groups related information, and produces structured daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports on selected conflicts.

Public sources only: public Telegram channels and public X-related sources or mirrors where supported. Nothing private or closed is collected.

Yes. Reports are AI-assisted and generated from structured public-source material. The system first organises, deduplicates and prioritises collected information before the report is written, and the result is published automatically.

Daily reports are generated after the daily cutoff at 06:00 Oslo time and cover the previous reporting day. Weekly, monthly and yearly reports are generated after their reporting period is complete.

No. They synthesise the period using saved lower-level reports and structured event data, with the focus on longer-term developments rather than a concatenation of earlier reports.

Report generation depends on source availability, scheduled processing windows, the server, and AI provider availability. If any of those are delayed, the report may appear later or be retried.

Telegram messages have practical length limits, so Telegram receives a compact summary and links to the full website article when it is available. The website version contains more context and the source list.

Reports are intended to include source lists where available. Source links and short descriptions are shown on the article page in the Sources section.

A source description explains what type of public source the channel or account appears to be. It is not a guarantee that claims from that source are true, and inclusion is not an endorsement.

It compares sources, groups related claims and preserves traceability, but it should not be described as proving that every claim is true. Reports may mark uncertainty where appropriate.

Event detection means grouping messages that appear to discuss the same real-world development, so a report is built around events instead of repetitive individual posts.

Public channels often quote, forward, copy or summarise each other. Fog & Fact tries to reduce repeated material so reposts are not counted as independent confirmation.

Public sources often have biases or affiliations. Source descriptions aim to provide context where possible, but readers should evaluate claims critically.

Original messages are preserved for traceability. Translation is available selectively where supported; reports themselves are written in English.

Short summaries are published free on the Telegram channel, and the full reports are currently free to read on this site. A low-cost subscription for some reports is planned later.

Yes, and it helps. Use the form below with the report link, the date and topic, the exact sentence or claim, and any supporting source material. Corrections are reviewed by the project owner before anything is changed.

Yes. Suggestions are welcome and are reviewed before anything is treated as active coverage.

There is no public developer programme at the moment. Licensing, partnership, media and bulk-access requests are passed to the project owner for review.

No. Fog & Fact is designed to improve structure, traceability and readability of public-source reporting. It is not a substitute for primary-source verification or professional legal, financial, military or safety advice.
